My Own Spiritual Views
Linda L. Isaacs, M.D.
Since I have included thoughts about emotional and spiritual aspects of health on my website, I want to acknowledge my faith. I am a Christian. However, during high school, college, and medical school, I was an agnostic living in the southern United States, and I understand from experience how annoying unwanted religious discussions can be. For those who do not share my beliefs, please be assured that it is not necessary to be a Christian to be my patient, and that I have no plans to try to convince or persuade you of anything.
The following material, coming from a Christian perspective, might be of interest to some of you. My article entitled “Understanding” is based on a lecture I gave at a religious service in the mid-1990s. “Struggling to Forgive” was published in March 2019 by the Upper Room Magazine. An accompanying blog post is available on the Upper Room site.
