Case Reports
Callers frequently request “testimonials.” I provide case reports. What's the difference? Patients create testimonials, as a video or in writing, stating in their own words how a treatment helped them. Practitioners write case reports and submit them to medical journals. Editors and peer reviewers then decide if they are worthy of publication.
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez and I published an article in 2007 in the peer-reviewed journal Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine. It included more than 30 case reports of patients with properly diagnosed cancer who responded to this treatment. The cases start on page 4.
Two books by Dr. Gonzalez, published after his death in July 2015, include more than 100 case reports of patients who did well on this treatment with appropriately diagnosed cancer. The first volume covers patients whose disease arose in the pancreas or breast; the second volume is devoted to patients with other types of cancer (affiliate links). Both volumes include some of my patients.
In 2019, my article in Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine included two case reports, one about my patient with metastatic lung cancer who began treatment in December 2014, one about my patient with metastatic colon cancer who started in April 2016.
To address the common request for “statistics” for a given condition, Dr. Gonzalez and I wrote the article Statistics: Why Meaningful Statistics Cannot Be Generated From a Private Practice.
Please note that these case reports are not a guarantee of similar outcomes for any patient. I advise patients whose disease can be cured by orthodox therapy to go ahead with it; see my article titled “Deciding Whether to Pursue an Alternative Cancer Therapy” for more guidance.
Federal privacy regulations prohibit identifying patients by name. My office staff and I are careful to protect patients' privacy and will not give out their names or contact information under any circumstances.
My article Evaluating Anecdotes and Case Reports can help you learn to recognize a well-written case report or testimonial. It was published in Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine.
